Spring is finally here after a windy wintery season. An application of pre-emergent for grassy weeds (crabgrass, foxtail, goosegrass) and balanced fertilizer will get your lawn started on the right track. The crabgrass control will last around 120 days and the degree of control will depend on how long you have had lawn care and how high you mow and the weather that you have locally in your area. The fertilizer will release for 6 - 9 weeks. Broadleaf weeds will be sprayed late in the Spring. Follow the tips below for the best lawn possible.
Each mowing season: - Make sure that your mower is ready-blade sharpened, new gasoline, change the oil and replace that old worn out spark plug. Mow lawn between 2.5 to 3.0 inches staring out, then raise the cutting height of your mowing deck up as the temperatures increases. One final tip, would be to change the direction of your mowing often.
